Key Material Benefits
CuraDrape has a significantly lower drape, despite having high conformability, than similar materials. Because only the clinician is applying force, this feature gives them full control while molding, making it the most controllable material with conformability. CuraDrape is also the only material outside the Aquaplast family that has moderate material memory, allowing the clinician to make minor adjustments to the finished splint if heated.
Handling
Resistance to stretch: Moderate
Controlled stretch and the ability to handle with moderate pressure. It will not stretch out of shape when removed from splint bath.
Conformability: Moderate/Maximum
Conforms to surface contours and detail when minimum force is applied. Low degree of drape.
Memory: Moderate
When reheated, the material partially โremembersโ its original shape and returns to it. This allows for reshaping of the splint for minor adjustments.
Bonding: Coated
Create a temporary bond by pinching together heated material; however, it will come apart when cooled. Form a permanent bond by scrubbing off the coating or removing it with a bond solvent.
